Guess what the first Google image search for 'running with scissors' brings back?<br /> Yup, data recovery will tested after disaster :p<br /> I agree with you 100%. We do have many databases serving customers split between 2 geographically close but distant data centres. We depend on WAL archiving for replication. However, out of curiosity, what would be the preferred way to ship these WALs for extremely active databases between very distant geographical data centres given the fact these WAL can still be large even after zipping. Thanks! |
